I teach in the areas of Environmental Law (including Climate Change), Environmental Justice Law, Property Rights, and Social Justice. My academic interests relate primarily to the interaction of people with the natural and built environment, and the intersection of property rights with environmental protection and social justice. My areas of legal expertise include environmental law (including climate change), natural resources law (including energy law), public lands law, land use law, property law, and local government/administrative law. Prior to teaching, I practiced law for 20 years with nonprofit environmental groups, government, and private law firms.
