Dr. Finkenbinder is a sedimentary geologist and Assistant Professor in the Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences department.  His primary research interests include paleoclimatology, Quaternary stratigraphy, stable isotope geochemistry, Paleolimnology, and radiometric dating methods.  His research focuses on reconstructing past climatic changes on a range of timescales using the sedimentary record from small lakes.
