Research Interests
Michaël Aklin is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also affiliated to Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and the Global Studies Center. He received his Ph.D. from New York University, an M.A. from the University of Essex (UK), and a licence from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva (Switzerland). Before obtaining his doctorate, he worked as a visiting scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (Germany). His research focuses on international and comparative political economy with applications to environmental issues and energy policy, and has been published in journals such as the American Journal of Political Science, Nature Energy, and Science Advances.
