Research Interests
Dr. Liang’s fundamental research interests are: (1) to discover fundamental laws that govern water and energy cycles, (2) to investigate how the water and energy cycles affect the health of our environment and ecological systems, and how they influence the transport and cycling of nutrients and pollutants at different scales, such as at local, regional, continental, and global scales, and (3) how to improve hydrological forecasting of extreme events including flooding and droughts.
